Some things that you may not know about Dickie Lines...and Dolly.
We both work at the Stockport Air Raid Shelters, Stockport's bomb-proof tunnels constructed between September 1938 and October 1939, and extended in 1941 following the Manchester Blitz of December 1940. The Air Raid Shelters are on Chestergate in the town centre and are currently open most days except Mondays. After Dickie leaves a World War Two / 1940's weekend, like Mr. Wu, he becomes an air raid warden. www.airraidshelters.org.uk/

We own a Volkswagen Campervan nicknamed "V1". With the diesel engine at the rear, only worry when the loud growling noise at the back stops!!! V1 is undergoing a long-term "rolling restoration". For anyone who's interested, he's (yes, I know all vehicles should be referred to as "She", but Dolly insists!) a 1989(F-prefix) T25 (T3), with a fibreglass high-top roof. Originally in VW Pastel White...and slowly being returned to Pastel White, dalmation-style. This necessitates learning to weld, fabricate, fill and paint at College. Watch this space...
